Rather than passing in the port and iterating over the global
spi_devices variable, pass in the specific spi_device that is being
enabled/disabled. The spi_device_t struct has the port.
This change makes the functions in spi.h more consistent since they now
all take a spi_device_t*. This change is the first step in making the
SPI configuration more dynamic.

It's simply a bad idea to describe a macro in multiple locations.
It'll make it hard to change. It'll be difficult to keep all
locations in sync.
This patch replaces the comment duplicated in all ec.tasklist with
a pointer to the CONFIG_TASK_LIST definition. The macro will be
described in a single place (just like all/most other macros).

This feature is inconsistent. Not all boards have such a symlink
(for a obvious reason).
This feature is fragile. It's most likely not tested and going to be
broken if not already. Developers won't like it if they have to test
two different ways to build boards before submitting patches.
This feature is not necessary. If you build EC in the standard way
(e.g. make BOARD=samus), these symlinks are not needed.
This feature is wasteful. Extra disk spaces are used and extra lines
are added to Makefile (increasing code complexity slightly).

With commit e9883124ff16, a GPIO_INT macro was added. That change
also required that all instances of GPIO_INT in a board's
gpio.inc file come before any GPIO macros, or the interrupt
handler wouldn't work properly.
This CL just adds a warning comment about requirement to all
gpio.inc files.

This DMA receiver uses a separate small circular buffer to DMA into.
This allows the DMA transaction to be made circular, and thus it does
not require the interrupt latency to be low enough to setup the next
transfer before the next character comes in.
Additional diagnostics output have been added to the usart_info console
command to facilitate tuning of the FIFO size.

This optional console command is enabled with CONFIG_USART_INFO_COMMAND.
It will display and clear dropped character and overrun counts for all
configured USARTs.

Remove assumption of only one SPI master going to the SPI flash.
SPI3 can be used as second SPI master.
Define a new module type, SPI_FLASH, that can be turned
on/off when flash is not in used without impacting other
SPI masters.

Add example uses of the multi USART driver with DMA transmission and interrupt
based reception. USART1 is setup as a loopback device, it just echo's any
characters received. USART4 is forwarded over USB.
Also fix the alternate function mappings for USART3 and USART4, and add
comments for each section of board.c.

This unifies all the EC header files to use __CROS_EC_FILENAME_H
as the include guard. Well, except for test/ util/ and extra/
which use __TEST_ __UTIL_ and __EXTRA_ prefixes respectively.

This just makes the LEDs blink continually, because I have a
development board sitting on my desk and I like to see it doing
something.
You can still force the GPIOs on and off using the tool in
extra/usb_gpio/.

The in_stream and out_stream interfaces were a first attempt
at providing an abstraction for multiple stream like devices
(usart, USB, I2C/LPC host interfaces...). But, by baking
the queue into the device it proved to be hard to use and
required additional resources (task or deferred hook) to handle
passing data from one stream to another.
Since then the queue policy and producer/consumer interfaces
have replaced the stream interfaces. This CL removes the old
stream interfaces and updates the only users (deleting the
test echo code from the discovery-stm32f072 board and updating
the mcdp28x0 driver to use the queue interfaces).

Our existing GPIO macros use port# / gpio#, but the concept of different
GPIO ports does not exist on the mec1322. Therefore, add new GPIO macros
for chips which do not have distinct GPIO ports.

Previously the Producer and Consumer interfaces tracked the
Consumer and Producer respectively at the other end of the
queue that they interacted with. This was done to avoid
modifying the queue implementation, but resulted in a rougher
interface that required additional initialization steps and
prevented alternative configurations; many producers and one
consumer for example.
This commit uses the new queue policies to track this
information. The new direct policy behaves as the old producer
and consumers did. Now the producers and consumers are just
named references to the queue that they work on and a convenient
location for a notification callback when the queue is updated in
a way that is relevent to the producer or consumer.
All users of Producer and Consumer have been updated including the
stream adaptors which are in use by the echo test code and the
mcdp28x0 driver. Use of the stream adaptors has also been
simplified.

In the gpio_info struct, we had a irq_handler pointer defined even
though a majority of the GPIOs did not have irq handlers associated. By
removing the irq_handler pointer out of the struct, we can save some
space with some targets saving more than others. (For example, ~260
bytes for samus_pd).
This change also brings about a new define:
GPIO_INT(name, port, pin, flags, signal)
And the existing GPIO macro has had the signal parameter removed since
they were just NULL.
GPIO(name, port, pin, flags)
In each of the gpio.inc files, all the GPIOs with irq handlers must be
defined at the top of the file. This is because their enum values from
gpio_signal are used as the index to the gpio_irq_handlers table.

Previously the USB Stream buffer sizes were fixed at
USB_MAX_PACKET_SIZE (currently 64 bytes). But that
ended up using up too much packet RAM, a very limited
resource. This change makes them configurable and
adds asserts to insure that the sizes are valid for
the underlying hardware.

Previously the USART and USB Stream drivers exposed in_stream
and out_stream interfaces, which don't allow for sharing their
queues easily. This change converts these drivers over to the
producer/consumer model and updates the two uses.

The task based approach made sense when it looked like
there would be a case closed debugging task to handle
multiple bridges (SPI/I2C/USART...). I'm not convinced
anymore that that task will be needed, so this
simplification seems good.

This allows the USB SPI bridge to be controlled from the
host at a larger timescale than a single SPI transaction.
This allows the host to signal that many transactions
will take place and that the device should keep the SPI
bridge enabled across them. This allows the device to
hold the AP or other possible user of the SPI bus in
reset while the bridge is enabled.

Previously the version string was special cased in the USB stack
because the build system prevented the inclusion of ec_version.h in
any file other than common/version.c. This lead to common/version.c
being the only place that the USB version string could be computed
and thus the special case of filling in the version string descriptor
at run time. This made the USB stack more complex, and lead to the
common/version.c file including usb.h, which is actually STM32
specific.
Now, the portion of ec_version.h that is deterministic is only
updated when something in the tree actually changes (by way of a
conditional in the makefile), and ec_version.h no longer has to
depend on all object files (other than the special version.o).
This allows anyone to include ec_version.h as needed. In particular,
each board that wants to define a USB version string can directly
include ec_version.h and do so.

These names can be used to uniquely identify an interface
as being a console forwarded from the AP, or the EC's
console or some other console. This makes it possible to
connect to the correct console from servo without knowing
what board is attached. These strings could also be used
by udev rules to create appropriate symlinks.

Wire up the discovery's four LEDs and one user
button as GPIOs that can be written and read using
the new USB GPIO driver. This also adds an extra
tool called usb_gpio that provides control of GPIOs
from the linux command line.

Remove the meaningless version string in iSerialNumber, which was incorrect
since this string should be unique to a device if it exists.
Export the firmware version string as the configuration string, so it's
traceable to a given firmware build/sources.

This task echo's all bytes from any console stream back to all
other console streams. It is a test case for the new
multi-USART and USB stream drivers.

This ensures that nothing previously flashed to the baord can
interfere with the flashing operation (by wedging the MCU or
putting it into a state that the falshing code can't handle).
This also adds a dependency on ec.bin to the flash
target, ensuring that the firmware image is up to date
when flashing.

Previously if you were working on a single board you had to add BOARD=
to all of your make command lines. Now if you are in a board directory
you can just use "make", or "make clean", or any other top level make
command.
This commit also adds support for a top level "make flash" command that
can be used from the board directories as well. This command uses
openocd and requires that the board provides an openocd-flash.cfg file.

This is a straightforward conversion of existing tables
into X-Macro style definitions for the GPIO alternate
functions. This change in itself, is not particularly
powerful, but having all GPIO settings in a single file
makes a board easier to understand.

This version of the EC firmware just provides a console and some
blinking lights for the stm32f0 discovery board. This is a
convenient board to work with for peripheral bringup.
