| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In the interest of making long-term branch maintenance incur as little technical debt on us as possible, we should not maintain any files on the branch we are not actually using. This has the added effect of making it extremely clear when merging CLs from the main branch when changes have the possibility to affect us. The follow-on CL adds a convenience script to actually pull updates from the main branch and generate a CL for the update. * printf: Convert %h to %phEvan Green2019-10-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to make printf more standard, use %ph. Pass a pointer to a struct describing the buffer, including its size. Add a convenience macro so that conversion between the old style and new style is purely mechanical. The old style of %h cannot be converted directly to %ph as-is because the C standard doesn't allow flags, precision, or field width on %p. Ultimately the goal is to enable compile-time printf format checking. This gets us one step closer to that. * PECI: Move non-chipset specific PECI code to common folderVijay Hiremath2019-05-281-0/+165
The Platform Environment Control Interface (PECI) is a thermal management standard with one-wire bus interface that provides a communication channel between Intel processor and chipset components to external monitoring or control devices. As we can read the CPU temperature over PECI more accurately than the thermistors, we can eliminate usage of thermistors for reading CPU temperature. BUG=b:128666114 BRANCH=none TEST=Manually tested on Dragonegg, able read CPU temperature.
