Make loading new sessions asynchronous
Since loading new sessions is a fairly drawn out
process, with multiple IPC calls, etc, blocking
is not really very nice.
This commit changes it to be asynchronous.
Note, this commit only fixes the non-accounts-service
code path. A future commit will handle the accounts
service code path.
