+
+Git log lists commit history. It allows searching and filtering.
+
+- Initiate log:
+
+  ```shell
+  git log
+  ```
+
+- Retrieve set number of records:
+

+  git log -n 2
+  ```
+
+- Search commits by author. Allows user name or a regular expression.
+

+  ```
