* powerpc/boot/fdt: Use unsigned long for pointer castsJeremy Kerr2015-03-161-3/+3
| | | | | | | | Now that the wrapper supports 64-bit builds, we see warnings when attempting to cast pointers to int. Use unsigned long instead. Signed-off-by: Jeremy Kerr <jk@ozlabs.org> Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <mpe@ellerman.id.au>
* powerpc/boot: Allocate more memory for dtbSebastian Siewior2008-11-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | David Gibson suggested that since we are now unconditionally copying the dtb into a malloc()ed buffer, it would be sensible to add a little padding to the buffer at that point, so that further device tree manipulations won't need to reallocate it. This implements that suggestion. Signed-off-by: Sebastian Andrzej Siewior <bigeasy@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* powerpc: Add del_node() for early boot code to prune inapplicable devices.Mike Ditto2008-10-221-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | Some platforms have variants that can share most of a flat device tree but need a few devices selectively pruned at boot time. This adds del_node() to ops.h to allow access to the existing fdt_del_node(). Signed-off-by: Mike Ditto <mditto@consentry.com> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
* powerpc/boot: Compare _start against ei.loadsize instead ei.memsizeSebastian Siewior2008-10-211-8/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If the vmlinux binary in memory is larger than 4 MiB than it collides with the initial boot code which is linked at 4 MiB in case of cuBoot. If the the uncompressed image size (on disk size) is less than 4 MiB then it would fit. The difference between those two sizes is the bss section. In cuBoot we have the dtb embedded right after the data section so it is very likely that the reset of the bss section (in kernel's start up code) will overwrite the dtb blob. Therefore we reallocate the dtb. Something similar is allready done to the initrd. * [POWERPC] bootwrapper: Add find_node_by_compatibleKumar Gala2008-01-271-0/+9
| | | | | | | Add the ability to find a device node by just what its compatible with. This is useful in cases that we don't have a prop to find the node with. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* [POWERPC] wrapper: Treat NULL as root node in devp_offset; add ↵Scott Wood2007-12-201-3/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | devp_offset_find() Many operations, as currently used in the wrapper, assume they can pass NULL and have it be treated as the root node. However, libfdt-wrapper converts NULL to -1, which is only appropriate when searching for nodes, and will cause an error otherwise. * [POWERPC] wrapper: Rename offset in offset_devp()Scott Wood2007-12-201-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | fdt_wrapper_create_node passes a variable called offset to offset_devp(), which uses said parameter to initialize a local variable called offset. Due to one of the odder aspects of the C language, the result is an undefined variable, with no error or warning. * [POWERPC] Use embedded libfdt in the bootwrapperDavid Gibson2007-12-111-0/+182
This incorporates libfdt (from the source embedded in an earlier commit) into the wrapper.a library used by the bootwrapper. This includes adding a libfdt_env.h file, which the libfdt sources need in order to integrate into the bootwrapper environment, and a libfdt-wrapper.c which provides glue to connect the bootwrapper's abstract device tree callbacks to the libfdt functions. In addition, this changes the various wrapper and platform files to use libfdt functions instead of the older flatdevtree.c library.
