* kconfig: fix broken dependency in randconfig-generated .configMasahiro Yamada2020-02-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | [ Upstream commit c8fb7d7e48d11520ad24808cfce7afb7b9c9f798 ] Running randconfig on arm64 using KCONFIG_SEED=0x40C5E904 (e.g. on v5.5) produces the .config with CONFIG_EFI=y and CONFIG_CPU_BIG_ENDIAN=y, which does not meet the !CONFIG_CPU_BIG_ENDIAN dependency. This is because the user choice for CONFIG_CPU_LITTLE_ENDIAN vs CONFIG_CPU_BIG_ENDIAN is set by randomize_choice_values() after the value of CONFIG_EFI is calculated. When this happens, the has_changed flag should be set. Currently, it takes the result from the last iteration. It should accumulate all the results of the loop. * kconfig: don't crash on NULL expressions in expr_eq()Thomas Hebb2020-01-121-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | [ Upstream commit 272a72103012862e3a24ea06635253ead0b6e808 ] NULL expressions are taken to always be true, as implemented by the expr_is_yes() macro and by several other functions in expr.c. As such, they ought to be valid inputs to expr_eq(), which compares two expressions. * kconfig/[mn]conf: handle backspace (^H) keyChangbin Du2019-05-043-3/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | [ Upstream commit 9c38f1f044080392603c497ecca4d7d09876ff99 ] Backspace is not working on some terminal emulators which do not send the key code defined by terminfo. Terminals either send '^H' (8) or '^?' (127). But currently only '^?' is handled. Let's also handle '^H' for those terminals. * kconfig: fix memory leak when EOF is encountered in quotationMasahiro Yamada2019-01-261-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | [ Upstream commit fbac5977d81cb2b2b7e37b11c459055d9585273c ] An unterminated string literal followed by new line is passed to the parser (with "multi-line strings not supported" warning shown), then handled properly there. On the other hand, an unterminated string literal at end of file is never passed to the parser, then results in memory leak. * kconfig: fix file name and line number of warn_ignored_character()Masahiro Yamada2019-01-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | [ Upstream commit 77c1c0fa8b1477c5799bdad65026ea5ff676da44 ] Currently, warn_ignore_character() displays invalid file name and line number. The lexer should use current_file->name and yylineno, while the parser should use zconf_curname() and zconf_lineno(). This difference comes from that the lexer is always going ahead of the parser. The parser needs to look ahead one token to make a shift/reduce decision, so the lexer is requested to scan more text from the input file. This commit fixes the warning message from warn_ignored_character(). * kconfig: Don't leak main menus during parsingUlf Magnusson2018-05-301-9/+24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | [ Upstream commit 0724a7c32a54e3e50d28e19e30c59014f61d4e2c ] If a 'mainmenu' entry appeared in the Kconfig files, two things would leak: - The 'struct property' allocated for the default "Linux Kernel Configuration" prompt. - The string for the T_WORD/T_WORD_QUOTE prompt after the T_MAINMENU token, allocated on the heap in zconf.l. To fix it, introduce a new 'no_mainmenu_stmt' nonterminal that matches if there's no 'mainmenu' and adds the default prompt. That means the prompt only gets allocated once regardless of whether there's a 'mainmenu' statement or not, and managing it becomes simple. * kconfig/nconf: Fix hang when editing symbol with a long promptBen Hutchings2017-01-091-4/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit 79e51b5c2deea542b3bb8c66e0d502230b017dde upstream. Currently it is impossible to edit the value of a config symbol with a prompt longer than (terminal width - 2) characters. dialog_inputbox() calculates a negative x-offset for the input window and newwin() fails as this is invalid. It also doesn't check for this failure, so it busy-loops calling wgetch(NULL) which immediately returns -1. The additions in the offset calculations also don't match the intended size of the window. Limit the window size and calculate the offset similarly to show_scroll_win(). | * kconfig/symbol.c: handle choice_values that depend on 'm' symbolsDirk Gouders2016-05-101-0/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If choices consist of choice_values of type tristate that depend on symbols set to 'm', those choice_values are not set to 'n' if the choice is changed from 'm' to 'y' (in which case only one active choice_value is allowed). Those values are also written to the config file causing modules to be built when they should not. The following config can be used to reproduce and examine the problem; with the frontend of your choice set "Choice 0" and "Choice 1" to 'm', then set "Tristate Choice" to 'y' and save the configuration: config modules boolean modules default y option modules config dependency tristate "Dependency" default m choice prompt "Tristate Choice" default choice0 config choice0 tristate "Choice 0" config choice1 tristate "Choice 1" depends on dependency endchoice This patch sets tristate choice_values' visibility that depend on symbols set to 'm' to 'n' if the corresponding choice is set to 'y'. This makes them disappear from the choice list and will also cause the choice_values' value set to 'n' in sym_calc_value() and as a result they are written as "not set" to the resulting .config file. * unbreak allmodconfig KCONFIG_ALLCONFIG=...Al Viro2016-02-011-5/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Prior to 3.13 make allmodconfig KCONFIG_ALLCONFIG=/dev/null used to be equivalent to make allmodconfig; these days it hardwires MODULES to n. In fact, any KCONFIG_ALLCONFIG that doesn't set MODULES explicitly is treated as if it set it to n. Regression had been introduced by commit cfa98f ("kconfig: do not override symbols already set"); what happens is that conf_read_simple() does sym_calc_value(modules_sym) on exit, which leaves SYMBOL_VALID set and has conf_set_all_new_symbols() skip modules_sym. It's pretty easy to fix - simply move that call of sym_calc_value() into the callers, except for the ones in KCONFIG_ALLCONFIG handling. Objections? | * Update the buildsystem for KConfig finding QtThiago Macieira2015-10-141-45/+28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The buildsystem will now only search for Qt 4 and Qt 5. Support for Qt 2 and 3 was dropped in the previous commits (Qt 3 was EOL'ed in 2010 or so...). For Qt 5, to be future-proof with the future direction notice appearing in the 5.5 release, C++11 support is automatically enabled.
