* src, tools: add check for left leaning pointersDaniel Bevenius2018-06-071-11/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | This commit adds a rule to cpplint to check that pointers in the code base lean to the left and not right, and also fixes the violations reported. * meta: restore original copyright headerJames M Snell2017-03-101-0/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A prior io.js era commit inappropriately removed the original copyright statements from the source. This restores those in any files still remaining from that edit. | | | | | | | | | | | For consistency with the newly added src/base64.h header, check that NODE_WANT_INTERNALS is defined and set in internal headers. * win: fix NODE_NET_SOCKET_READ/WRITE signatureBert Belder2015-01-081-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | The NODE_NET_SOCKET_READ and NODE_NET_SOCKET_WRITE macros are just no-ops on Windows, but they used to be defined as taking four parameters while being called with five arguments. Turn them into variadic macros to squelch a compiler warning. PR-URL: https://github.com/iojs/io.js/pull/261 Reviewed-By: Ben Noordhuis <info@bnoordhuis.nl>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Update following macros: * NODE_NET_SOCKET_{READ,WRITE}() - they both take 4 arguments, not 2 * NODE_COUNT_GC_PERCENTTIME() - it takes a single argument. Use INT_PTR instead of INT32 in pointer casts in win32_etw provider. PR-URL: https://github.com/joyent/node/pull/8294 Reviewed-By: Fedor Indutny <fedor@indutny.com>
* src: fix tracing infrastructure after v8 upgradeBen Noordhuis2014-03-161-2/+6
| | | | | | | | Fix up the dtrace/etw/systemtap infrastructure after the V8 upgrade in commit 1c7bf24. The win32 changes are untested but can hardly make things worse because node doesn't build on windows right now. Fixes #7313 with some luck.

* etw: update prototypes to match dtrace providerTimothy J Fontaine2013-04-011-7/+13
| | | | | | The DTrace probes were updated to accomodate platforms that can't handle structs, update the prototypes for ETW but it's not necessary to do anything with the new arguments as it's redundant information.

* Windows: Enable ETW events.Igor Zinkovsky2012-06-131-0/+82
This commit enables ETW events to be fired on Windows for existing DTrace probes. ETW instrumentation is enabled by default. It is possible to build node.exe without ETW instrumentation by using --without-etw option with configure script.
