pod2man gags if "=pod" is before "=head1 NAME"
This is strictly a pod2man issue: when using =pod and =cut to intermingle docs into a perl program, pod2man does not allow the "=pod" directive to appear before the "=head1 NAME" line, and assumes that your pod manpage is improper.
