Subject: (Retracted by #10375.)

IRIX hints patch from Merijn Broeren.

TODO: (this and the earlier Linux hints patch) should be solved
at Configure level.  Merijn: -ldb should not be used on any platform
for perl, just when linking DBFile itself. Trying to be helpful here
is counterproductive.
