Adding more strict compile Warning flags to gcc build
Added: -Wall -Wextra -pedantic -Wstrict-prototypes -Wcast-align
-Wno-unused-function -fno-common -fvisibility=hidden
The library compiles cleanly with the exception of the tools dir
which has trouble with the initializer lists
