man: improve grammar and word formatting in numerous man pages
Use proper grammar, word usage, adjective hyphenation, commas,

To improve readability, some run-on sentences or sentence fragments were
revised.
[zj: remove the space from 'file name', 'host name', and 'time zone'.]
