* tree-wide: drop license boilerplateZbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek2018-04-061-13/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Files which are installed as-is (any .service and other unit files, .conf files, .policy files, etc), are left as is. My assumption is that SPDX identifiers are not yet that well known, so it's better to retain the extended header to avoid any doubt. I also kept any copyright lines. We can probably remove them, but it'd nice to obtain explicit acks from all involved authors before doing that.
* man: make systemd-socket-activate point to systemd-run (#8151)Lucas Werkmeister2018-02-141-0/+1
| | | | Now that systemd-run also supports socket units, it makes sense to link to that command from the systemd-socket-activate manpage.
* man: generalize "binary" to "program" (#7668)Alan Jenkins2017-12-161-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | Systemd services are permitted to be scripts, as well as binary executables. The same also applies to the underlying /sbin/mount and /sbin/swapon. It is not necessary for the user to consider what type of program file these are. Nor is it necessary with systemd-nspawn, to distinguish between init as a "binary" v.s. a user-specified "program". Also fix a couple of grammar nits in the modified sentences.

* man: use unicode ellipsis in more placesZbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek2016-12-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | As requested in https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/4864#pullrequestreview-12372557. docbook will substitute triple dots for the ellipsis in man output, so this has no effect on the troff output, only on HTML, making it infinitesimally nicer. In some places we show output from programs, which use dots, and those places should not be changed. In some tables, the alignment would change if dots were changed to the ellipsis which is only one character. Since docbook replaces the ellipsis automatically, we should leave those be. This patch changes all other places.

* Promote systemd-activate to /usr/bin/systemd-socket-activateZbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek2016-02-141-0/+206
It has fairly wide functionality now and the interface has been stable for a while. It it a useful testing tool. The name is changed to better indicate what it does.
