* dm: treewide: Rename ..._platdata variables to just ..._platSimon Glass2020-12-131-10/+10
| | | | | | | Try to maintain some consistency between these variables by using _plat as a suffix for them. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: treewide: Rename 'platdata' variables to just 'plat'Simon Glass2020-12-131-16/+16
| | | | | | | | | | We use 'priv' for private data but often use 'platdata' for platform data. We can't really use 'pdata' since that is ambiguous (it could mean private or platform data). Rename some of the latter variables to end with 'plat' for consistency. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* command: Remove the cmd_tbl_t typedefSimon Glass2020-05-181-13/+22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward declarations which means that header files must include the full header to access them. Drop the typedef and rename the struct to remove the _s suffix which is now not useful. This requires quite a few header-file additions. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* cmd: add missing line breaks for pr_err()Seung-Woo Kim2018-06-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | After the commit 9b643e312d52 ("treewide: replace with error() with pr_err()"), there are some pr_err() with no line break. Add missing line breaks. Signed-off-by: Seung-Woo Kim <sw0312.kim@samsung.com>
* SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini2018-05-071-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* treewide: replace with error() with pr_err()Masahiro Yamada2017-10-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | U-Boot widely uses error() as a bit noisier variant of printf(). This macro causes name conflict with the following line in include/linux/compiler-gcc.h: # define __compiletime_error(message) __attribute__((error(message))) This prevents us from using __compiletime_error(), and makes it difficult to fully sync BUILD_BUG macros with Linux. (Notice Linux's BUILD_BUG_ON_MSG is implemented by using compiletime_assert().) Let's convert error() into now treewide-available pr_err(). Done with the help of Coccinelle, excluing tools/ directory. The semantic patch I used is as follows: // <smpl> @@@@ -error +pr_err (...) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> [trini: Re-run Coccinelle] Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* power: regulator: Introduce regulator_set_value_force functionKeerthy2016-11-251-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | In case we want to force a particular value on a regulator irrespective of the min/max constraints for testing purposes one can call regulator_set_value_force function. Signed-off-by: Keerthy <j-keerthy@ti.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* Remove the cmd_ prefix from command filesSimon Glass2016-01-251-0/+455
Now that they are in their own directory, we can remove this prefix. This makes it easier to find a file since the prefix does not get in the way.
