* spl: Allow sandbox to build a device-tree fileSimon Glass2019-05-081-1/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | At present only OF_SEPARATE is considered valid for building a device-tree file in SPL. However sandbox uses OF_HOSTFILE instead. Update the logic to handle this and make it easier to understand. Note that the new logic is not quite the same as the old logic. It was previously assumed that checking for: $(CONFIG_$(SPL_TPL_)OF_CONTROL) $(CONFIG_OF_SEPARATE) $(CONFIG_$(SPL_TPL_)OF_PLATDATA) producing 'yy' meant that the first two were 'y' and the last was empty. Strictly speaking it would be possible for any two of the three to be 'y' and still yield the same result. However, that was not the intention of the new logic, since OF_PLATDATA always ensures that no device-tree file is included. So in effect the new logic is the same, with the addition of OF_HOSTFILE as an option for OP_SEPARATE. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>

| |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It seems like the Allwinner SATA driver is already quite capable of using the driver model, so we can force this on all boards and can remove support for a non-DM_SCSI build. It also takes the opportunity to move the driver out of the board/sunxi directory to join its siblings in drivers/ata, and to make it a proper Kconfig citizen. The board defconfigs stay untouched. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The new fdt_generate_phandle() function can be used to generate a new, unused phandle given a specific device tree blob. The implementation is somewhat naive in that it simply walks the entire device tree to find the highest phandle value and then returns a phandle value one higher than that. A more clever implementation might try to find holes in the current set of phandle values and fill them. But this implementation is relatively simple and works reliably. Also add a test that validates that phandles generated by this new API are indeed unique. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | *.dts are processed using a custom command, then the C pre-processor is run on them, then they are compiled using dtc. Thus, the dependency files generated by both cpp and dtc reference a temporary file name rather than the actual source file. While this information isn't used for any purpose by the build system, and hence this causes no functional issue, it does cause the dependency files to contain invalid and confusing data, which is unhelpful while debugging build problems.
