Fix AC_FUNC_MMAP regression with C++ compiler in 2.65.

* lib/autoconf/functions.m4 (AC_FUNC_MMAP): Use const char*
for the constant string.  Cast void* to char* for assignment.
* NEWS, THANKS: Update.
