os: _get_firmware_list() returns supported FWs
Let's make sure we document that `_get_firmware_list()` returns **only**
supported firmwares, rather than returning **all** the firmwares
avaiable for an OS.
As part of the documentation change, let's also adapt the internal
functions to reflect that.
