The new papr_sysparm API handles the details of system parameter

The ibm,get-system-parameter RTAS function may return -2 or 990x,
which indicate that the caller should try again. read_24x7_sys_info()
ignores this, allowing transient failures in reporting processor
module information.
Move the RTAS call into a coventional rtas_busy_delay()-based loop,
along with the parsing of results on success.

Commit ec3eb9d941a9 ("powerpc/perf: Use PVR rather than
oprofile field to determine CPU version") added usage
of pvr value instead of oprofile field to determine the
platform. In hv-24x7 pmu driver code, pvr check uses PVR_POWER8
when assigning the interface version for power8 platform.
But power8 can also have other pvr values like PVR_POWER8E and
PVR_POWER8NVL. Hence the interface version won't be set
properly incase of PVR_POWER8E and PVR_POWER8NVL.
Fix this issue by adding the checks for PVR_POWER8E and
PVR_POWER8NVL as well.

Currently the perf CPU backend drivers detect what CPU they're on using
cur_cpu_spec->oprofile_cpu_type.
Although that works, it's a bit crufty to be using oprofile related fields,
especially seeing as oprofile is more or less unused these days.
It also means perf is reliant on the fragile logic in setup_cpu_spec()
which detects when we're using a logical PVR and copies back the PMU
related fields from the raw CPU entry. So lets check the PVR directly.

The hv_24x7 performance monitoring unit creates a list of supported
events from the event catalog obtained via HCALL. The hv_24x7 catalog
could also contain invalid or dummy events with names like RESERVED*.
These events do not have any hardware counters backing them. Add a
check to string compare the event names to filter such events out.

Commit 792f73f747b8 ("powerpc/hv-24x7: Add sysfs files inside hv-24x7
device to show cpumask") added cpumask file as part of hv-24x7 driver
inside the interface folder. The cpumask file is supposed to be in the
top folder of the PMU driver in order to make hotplug work.
This patch fixes that issue and creates new group 'cpumask_attr_group'
to add cpumask file and make sure it added in top folder.

Patch here adds a cpumask attr to hv_24x7 pmu along with ABI documentation.
Primary use to expose the cpumask is for the perf tool which has the
capability to parse the driver sysfs folder and understand the
cpumask file. Having cpumask file will reduce the number of perf command
line parameters (will avoid "-C" option in the perf tool
command line). It can also notify the user which is
the current cpu used to retrieve the counter data.

Patch here adds cpu hotplug functions to hv_24x7 pmu.
A new cpuhp_state "CPUHP_AP_PERF_POWERPC_HV_24x7_ONLINE" enum
is added.
The online callback function updates the cpumask only if its
empty. As the primary intention of adding hotplug support
is to designate a CPU to make HCALL to collect the
counter data.
The offline function test and clear corresponding cpu in a cpumask
and update cpumask to any other active cpu.

To expose the system dependent parameter like total number of
sockets and numbers of chips per socket, patch adds two sysfs files.
"sockets" and "chips" are added to /sys/devices/hv_24x7/interface/
of the "hv_24x7" pmu.

For hv_24x7 socket/chip level events, specific chip-id to which
the data requested should be added as part of pmu events.
But number of chips/socket in the system details are not exposed.
Patch implements read_24x7_sys_info() to get system parameter values
like number of sockets, cores per chip and chips per socket. Rtas_call
with token "PROCESSOR_MODULE_INFO" is used to get these values.
Subsequent patch exports these values via sysfs.
Patch also make these parameters default to 1.

Commit 2b206ee6b0df ("powerpc/perf/hv-24x7: Display change in counter
values")' added to print _change_ in the counter value rather then raw
value for 24x7 counters. Incase of transactions, the event count
is set to 0 at the beginning of the transaction. It also sets
the event's prev_count to the raw value at the time of initialization.
Because of setting event count to 0, we are seeing some weird behaviour,
whenever we run multiple 24x7 events at a time.

Getting these large values in case we do -I.
As we are setting event_count to 0, for interval case, overall event_count is not
coming in incremental order. As we may can get new delta lesser then previous count.
Because of which when we print intervals, we are getting negative value which create
these large values.
This patch removes part where we set event_count to 0 in function
'h_24x7_event_read'. There won't be much impact as we do set event->hw.prev_count
to the raw value at the time of initialization to print change value.

PMUs
For PowerPC PMUs that do not support context exclusion let's
advertise the PERF_PMU_CAP_NO_EXCLUDE capability. This ensures that
perf will prevent us from handling events where any exclusion flags
are set. Let's also remove the now unnecessary check for exclusion
flags.

In the hv-24x7 code there is a function memord() which tries to
implement a sort function return -1, 0, 1. However one of the
conditions is incorrect, such that it can never be true, because we
will have already returned.
I don't believe there is a bug in practice though, because the
comparisons are an optimisation prior to calling memcmp().
Fix it by swapping the second comparision, so it can be true.

There's an H24x7_DATA_BUFFER_SIZE constant, so use it in init_24x7_request.
There's also an HV_PERF_DOMAIN_MAX constant, so use it in
h_24x7_event_init. This makes the comment above the check redundant,
so remove it.
In add_event_to_24x7_request, a statement is terminated with a comma
instead of a semicolon. Fix it.
In hv-24x7.h, improve comments in struct hv_24x7_result.

The H_GET_24X7_CATALOG_PAGE hcall can return a signed error code, so fix
this in the code.
The H_GET_24X7_DATA hcall can return a signed error code, so fix this in
the code. Also, don't truncate it to 32 bit to use as return value for
make_24x7_request. In case of error h_24x7_event_commit_txn passes that
return value to generic code, so it should be a proper errno. The other
caller of make_24x7_request is single_24x7_request, whose callers don't
actually care which error code is returned so they are not affected by this
change.
Finally, h_24x7_get_value doesn't use the error code from
single_24x7_request, so there's no need to store it.

make_24x7_request already calls log_24x7_hcall if it fails, so callers
don't have to do it again.
In fact, since the latter is now only called from the former, there's no
need for a separate log_24x7_hcall anymore so remove it.

hv-24x7.h has a comment mentioning that result_buffer->results can't be
indexed as a normal array because it may contain results of variable sizes,
so fix the loop in h_24x7_event_commit_txn to take the variation into
account when iterating through results.
Another problem in that loop is that it sets h24x7hw->events[i] to NULL.
This assumes that only the i'th result maps to the i'th request, but that
is not guaranteed to be true. We need to leave the event in the array so
that we don't dereference a NULL pointer in case more than one result maps
to one request.
We still assume that each result has only one result element, so warn if
that assumption is violated.

H_GET_24X7_CATALOG_PAGE needs to be passed the version number obtained from
the first catalog page obtained previously. This is a 64 bit number, but
create_events_from_catalog truncates it to 32-bit.
This worked on POWER8, but POWER9 actually uses the upper bits so the call
fails with H_P3 because the hypervisor doesn't recognize the version.
This patch also adds the hcall return code to the error message, which is
helpful when debugging the problem.

The Physical Core events of the 24x7 PMU can be monitored across various
domains (physical core, vcpu home core, vcpu home node etc). For each of
these core events, we currently create multiple events in sysfs, one for
each domain the event can be monitored in. These events are distinguished
by their suffixes like __PHYS_CORE, __VCPU_HOME_CORE etc.
Rather than creating multiple such entries, we could let the user specify
make 'domain' index a required parameter and let the user specify a value
for it (like they currently specify the core index).
$ cat /sys/bus/event_source/devices/hv_24x7/events/HPM_CCYC
domain=?,offset=0x98,core=?,lpar=0x0
$ perf stat -C 0 -e hv_24x7/HPM_CCYC,domain=2,core=1/ true
(the 'domain=?' and 'core=?' in sysfs tell perf tool to enforce them as
required parameters).
This simplifies the interface and allows users to identify events by the
name specified in the catalog (User can determine the domain index by
referring to '/sys/bus/event_source/devices/hv_24x7/interface/domains').
Eliminating the event suffix eliminates several functions and simplifies
code.
Note that Physical Chip events can only be monitored in the chip domain
so those events have the domain set to 1 (rather than =?) and users don't
need to specify the domain index for the Chip events.

In the typical usage of 'perf stat' this counter value is not as useful
as the _change_ in the counter value over the duration of the application.
Have h_24x7_event_init() set the event's prev_count to the raw value of
the 24x7 counter at the time of initialization. When the application
terminates, hv_24x7_event_read() will compute the change in value and
report to the perf tool. Similarly, for the transaction interface, clear
the event count to 0 at the beginning of the transaction.

This makes vmalloc_to_phys() public as there will be another user
(KVM in-kernel VFIO acceleration) for it soon. As this new user
can be compiled as a module, this exports the symbol.
As a little optimization, this changes the helper to call
vmalloc_to_pfn() instead of vmalloc_to_page() as the size of the
struct page may not be power-of-two aligned which will make gcc use
multiply instructions instead of shifts.

The 24x7 counters in Powerpc allow monitoring a large number of counters
simultaneously. They also allow reading several counters in a single
HCALL so we can get a more consistent snapshot of the system.
Use the PMU's transaction interface to monitor and read several event
counters at once. The idea is that users can group several 24x7 events
into a single group of events. We use the following logic to submit
the group of events to the PMU and read the values:
pmu->start_txn() // Initialize before first event
for each event in group
pmu->read(event); // Queue each event to be read
pmu->commit_txn() // Read/update all queuedcounters
The ->commit_txn() also updates the event counts in the respective
perf_event objects. The perf subsystem can then directly get the
event counts from the perf_event and can avoid submitting a new
->read() request to the PMU.

As Michael pointed out, create_events_from_catalog() fails when we
either have:
- a kernel bug
- some sort of hypervisor misconfiguration
- ENOMEM
In all the above cases, we can also fail 24x7 initcall.
For hypervisor errors, EIO is used so there is something reported
in dmesg.

Use pr_devel_ratelimited() to log error message when the 24x7 HCALL
fails. Since users specify events by their sysfs name, the HCALL should
succeed. Any errors reported by the HCALL would be of interest to the
developer, rather than the user/administrator.
