* ARM: dts: exynos: replace mshc0 alias with mmc-ddr-1_8v propertyHenrik Grimler2023-04-031-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Previously, the mshc0 alias has been necessary so that MMC_CAP_1_8V_DDR | MMC_CAP_8_BIT_DATA are set for mshc_0/mmc_0. However, these capabilities should be described in the device tree so that we do not have to rely on the alias. The property mmc-ddr-1_8v replaces MMC_CAP_1_8V_DDR, while bus_width = <8>, which is already set for all the mshc0/mmc0 nodes, replaces MMC_CAP_8_BIT_DATA. Also drop other mshc aliases as they are not needed. * ARM: dts: exynos: move MIPI phy to PMU node in Exynos3250Krzysztof Kozlowski2023-03-061-6/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | The MIPI phy is actually part of the Power Management Unit system controller. It does not have its own address space, thus keeping the node under soc causes warnings: exynos3250-artik5-eval.dtb: soc: video-phy: {'compatible': ['samsung,s5pv210-mipi-video-phy'], '#phy-cells': [[1]], 'syscon': [[15]], 'phandle': [[23]]} should not be valid under {'type': 'object'} Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20230207192851.549242-2-krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The soc node is supposed to have only device nodes with MMIO addresses, as reported by dtc W=1: exynos3250.dtsi:775.20-781.5: Warning (simple_bus_reg): /soc/bus-dmc: missing or empty reg/ranges property and dtbs_check: exynos3250-artik5-eval.dtb: soc: bus-dmc: {'compatible': ['samsung,exynos-bus'], 'clocks': [[67, 16]], 'clock-names': ['bus'], 'operating-points-v2': [[68]], 'status': ['disabled']} should not be valid under {'type': 'object'} Move the bus nodes and their OPP tables out of SoC to fix this. * ARM: dts: exynos: drop useless 'dma-channels/requests' propertiesKrzysztof Kozlowski2022-05-041-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The pl330 DMA controller provides number of DMA channels and requests through its registers, so duplicating this information (with a chance of mistakes) in DTS is pointless. Additionally the DTS used always wrong property names which causes DT schema check failures - the bindings documented 'dma-channels' and 'dma-requests' properties without leading hash sign. * ARM: dts: exynos: Remove 'opp-shared' from Exynos3 bus OPP-tablesMarek Szyprowski2020-10-271-5/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commits 1019fe2c7280 ("ARM: dts: exynos: Adjust bus related OPPs to the values correct for Exynos5422 Odroids") and 9ff416cf45a0 ("ARM: dts: exynos: Disable frequency scaling for FSYS bus on Odroid XU3 family") revealed that 'opp-shared' property for the Exynos bus OPPs was used incorrectly, what had the side-effect of disabling frequency scaling for the second and latter buses sharing given OPP-table. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The cooling device properties, like "#cooling-cells" and "dynamic-power-coefficient", should either be present for all the CPUs of a cluster or none. If these are present only for a subset of CPUs of a cluster then things will start falling apart as soon as the CPUs are brought online in a different order. For example, this will happen because the operating system looks for such properties in the CPU node it is trying to bring up, so that it can register a cooling device. Add such missing properties. * ARM: dts: exynos: Remove skeleton.dtsi usage for Exynos3Javier Martinez Canillas2016-09-011-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The skeleton.dtsi file was removed in ARM64 for different reasons as explained in commit ("3ebee5a2e141 arm64: dts: kill skeleton.dtsi"). These also applies to ARM and it will also allow to get rid of the following DTC warnings in the future: "Node /memory has a reg or ranges property, but no unit name" The disassembled DTB are almost the same besides an empty chosen node being removed and nodes reordered, so it should not have functional changes. * ARM: dts: exynos: enable MFC device for all boardsMarek Szyprowski2016-06-081-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | MFC device can be used without any external hardware dependencies (when IOMMU is enabled), so it can be enabled by default (like it has been already done for Exynos 542x platforms). This unifies handling of this device for Exynos3250, Exynos4 and Exynos542x platforms. Board can still include exynos-mfc-reserved-memory.dtsi to enable using this device without IOMMU being enabled. The Renesas R-Car power domain handling, and the Nvidia Tegra USB support both hand notable changes that required changing the DT binding in a way that only provides compatibility with old DT blobs on new kernels but not vice versa. As a consequence, the DT changes are based on top of the driver changes and are now in this branch. For NXP i.MX and Samsung Exynos, the changes in here depend on other changes that got merged through the clk maintainer tree" * tag 'armsoc-late' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (35 commits) ARM: dts: exynos: Add support of Bus frequency using VDD_INT for exynos5422-odroidxu3 ARM: dts: exynos: Add bus nodes using VDD_INT for Exynos542x SoC ARM: dts: exynos: Add NoC Probe dt node for Exynos542x SoC ARM: dts: exynos: Add support of bus frequency for exynos4412-trats/odroidu3 ARM: dts: exynos: Expand the voltage range of buck1/3 regulator for exynos4412-odroidu3 ARM: dts: exynos: Add support of bus frequency using VDD_INT for exynos3250-rinato ARM: dts: exynos: Add exynos4412-ppmu-common dtsi to delete duplicate PPMU nodes ARM: dts: exynos: Add bus nodes using VDD_MIF for Exynos4210 ARM: dts: exynos: Add bus nodes using VDD_INT for Exynos4x12 ARM: dts: exynos: Add bus nodes using VDD_MIF for Exynos4x12 ARM: dts: exynos: Add bus nodes using VDD_INT for Exynos3250 ARM: dts: exynos: Add DMC bus frequency for exynos3250-rinato/monk ARM: dts: exynos: Add DMC bus node for Exynos3250 ARM: tegra: Enable XUSB on Nyan ARM: tegra: Enable XUSB on Jetson TK1 ARM: tegra: Enable XUSB on Venice2 ARM: tegra: Add Tegra124 XUSB controller ARM: tegra: Move Tegra124 to the new XUSB pad controller binding ARM: dts: r8a7794: Use SYSC "always-on" PM Domain ARM: dts: r8a7793: Use SYSC "always-on" PM Domain ...
