* "Evaluate" criteria will now not preemptively
unexpire and SELECT attributes that were individually
expired. Instead, if evaluation of the criteria indicates that
the necessary attrs were expired, we expire the object
completely (delete) or expire the SET attrs unconditionally
(update). This keeps the object in the same unloaded state
where it will refresh those attrs on the next pass, for
this generally unusual case. (originally #5664)
* Core change! update/delete rowcount comes from len(rows)
if RETURNING was used. SQLite at least otherwise did not
support this. adjusted test_rowcount accordingly
* ORM DELETE with a list of parameters at all is also a not
implemented as this would imply "bulk", and there is no
bulk_delete_mappings (could be, but we dont have that)
* ORM insert().values() with single or multi-values translates
key names based on ORM attribute names
* ORM returning() implemented for insert, update, delete;
explcit returning clauses now interpret rows in an ORM
context, with support for qualifying loader options as well
* session.bulk_insert_mappings() assigns polymorphic identity
if not set.
* explicit RETURNING + synchronize_session='fetch' is now
supported with UPDATE and DELETE.
* expanded return_defaults() to work with DELETE also.
* added support for composite attributes to be present
in the dictionaries used by bulk_insert_mappings and
bulk_update_mappings, which is also the new ORM bulk
insert/update feature, that will expand the composite
values into their individual mapped attributes the way they'd
be on a mapped instance.
* bulk UPDATE supports "synchronize_session=evaluate", is the
default. this does not apply to session.bulk_update_mappings,
just the new version
* both bulk UPDATE and bulk INSERT, the latter with or without
RETURNING, support *heterogenous* parameter sets.
session.bulk_insert/update_mappings did this, so this feature
is maintained. now cursor result can be both horizontally
and vertically spliced :)
This is now a long story with a lot of options, which in
itself is a problem to be able to document all of this
in some way that makes sense. raising exceptions for
use cases we haven't supported is pretty important here
too, the tradition of letting unsupported things just not work
is likely not a good idea at this point, though there
are still many cases that aren't easily avoidable

__future__.annotations mode allows us to use non-string
annotations for argument and return types in most cases,
but more importantly it removes a large amount of runtime
overhead that would be spent in evaluating the annotations.

Fixed bug where iterating a :class:`.Result` from a :class:`_orm.Session`
after that :class:`_orm.Session` were closed would partially attach objects
to that session in an essentially invalid state. It now raises an exception
with a link to new documentation if an **un-buffered** result is iterated
from a :class:`_orm.Session` that was closed or otherwise had the
:meth:`_orm.Session.expunge_all` method called after that :class:`.Result`
was generated. The "prebuffer_rows" execution option, as is used by the
asyncio extension, may be used to produce a :class:`.Result` where the ORM
objects are prebuffered, and in this case iterating the result will produce
a series of detached objects.

A warning is emitted for a condition in which the :class:`.Session` may
implicitly swap an object out of the identity map for another one with the
same primary key, detaching the old one, which can be an observed result of
load operations which occur within the :meth:`.SessionEvents.after_flush`
hook. The warning is intended to notify the user that some special
condition has caused this to happen and that the previous object may not be
in the expected state.

Applied on top of a pure run of black -l 79 in
I7eda77fed3d8e73df84b3651fd6cfcfe858d4dc9, this set of changes
resolves all remaining flake8 conditions for those codes
we have enabled in setup.cfg.
Included are resolutions for all remaining flake8 issues
including shadowed builtins, long lines, import order, unused
imports, duplicate imports, and docstring issues.

This is a straight reformat run using black as is, with no edits
applied at all.
The black run will format code consistently, however in
some cases that are prevalent in SQLAlchemy code it produces
too-long lines. The too-long lines will be resolved in the
following commit that will resolve all remaining flake8 issues
including shadowed builtins, long lines, import order, unused
imports, duplicate imports, and docstring issues.

Fixed race condition in ORM identity map which would cause objects
to be inappropriately removed during a load operation, causing
duplicate object identities to occur, particularly under joined eager
loading which involves deduplication of objects. The issue is specific
to garbage collection of weak references and is observed only under the
Pypy interpreter.

Added ``KeyError`` checks to all methods within
:class:`.WeakInstanceDict` where a check for ``key in dict`` is
followed by indexed access to that key, to guard against a race against
garbage collection that under load can remove the key from the dict
after the code assumes its present, leading to very infrequent
``KeyError`` raises.

in terms of the :class:`.Session` itself, e.g. pending,
transient, persistent, detached. The state of the object
within each event is also defined.

- Added a new session lifecycle state :term:`deleted`. This new state
represents an object that has been deleted from the :term:`persistent`
state and will move to the :term:`detached` state once the transaction
is committed. This resolves the long-standing issue that objects
which were deleted existed in a gray area between persistent and
detached. The :attr:`.InstanceState.persistent` accessor will
**no longer** report on a deleted object as persistent; the
:attr:`.InstanceState.deleted` accessor will instead be True for
these objects, until they become detached.
- The :paramref:`.Session.weak_identity_map` parameter is deprecated.

an event-based approach to maintaining strong identity map behavior.
