* QSaveFile: code tidiesGiuseppe D'Angelo2021-05-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Turn a cast into a call to QFlags::toInt(), plus a cast. This is in preparation for a future patch that will remove the implicit conversion. So why not casting directly? Because we don't know if the QFlags is backed by int or uint, so using the wrong cast won't compile; and we MUST pass unsigned because of the %x specifier. Granted, one could've used a static_assert, but I prefer a more flexible and idiomatic solution. * Add QIODevice::NewOnly and QIODevice::ExistingOnly OpenMode flagsd3fault2018-01-171-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When QFile::open is called with the NewOnly flag, the call will fail if the file already exists. As usual, if the file does not exist, it will be created. Like QTemporaryFile, there is a guarantee from the operating system that you are not accidentally creating a new file on top of an older file. When QFile::open is called with the ExistingOnly flag, the call will fail if the file does not exist. The ExistingOnly flag only provides new functionality when used with the WriteOnly flag. For ReadOnly it provides no change in functionality, as ReadOnly by itself already never creates. * Fix open/chmod race condition in QSaveFileAntonio Larrosa2017-07-281-1/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This fixes a problem introduced in a60571b3700e80f44705ebc4bab9628cf852891c The problem happens when an application like Kate (actually, ktexteditor) uses QSaveFile to save files. So if you open a secretfile.txt file (with permissions 0600), edit and save it, then QSaveFile currently generates a temporary file with 0666 that afterwards gets chmod'ed to 0600 again, but in between, some other user in the system can open the temporary file and get a file descriptor that would allow him/her to read the contents of a file with 0600 permissions. * QSaveFile: Fix permissions on creationKai Koehne2015-04-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | QSaveFile is intended to be a replacement for QFile, and should use the same permissions for newly created files. QTemporaryFile however creates new files with 0600 mask by default. Fix this by making the mode_t argument QTemporaryFileEngine uses configurable, and using 0666 for QSaveFile (like we do in QFile). [ChangeLog][Important behavior changes] Files created by QSaveFile do now have the same rights as files created by QFile. This also fixes a regression in QSettings: In the Qt 5.4 series, new files created by QSettings were only readable by the current user.
