| | | | | Since they were pretty inconsistent anyway, let's assume that they don't matter.

* tree-wide: use "hostname" spelling everywhereZbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek2020-04-211-5/+5
| | | | | | | | It's not that I think that "hostname" is vastly superior to "host name". Quite the opposite — the difference is small, and in some context the two-word version does fit better. But in the tree, there are ~200 occurrences of the first, and >1600 of the other, and consistent spelling is more important than any particular spelling choice.
* tree-wide: replace "asked to inhibit it" with "is inhibiting this"Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek2020-02-261-9/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The problem with the original form is that the subject of the sentence with passive void is "the system", and we're not inhibiting the system. In English the sense can be made out, but the form is gramatically incorrect. In fact, the Polish translation got this wrong: > msgid "Power off the system while an application is inhibiting this" > msgstr "Wyłączenie systemu, kiedy program zażądał jego wstrzymania" "jego" can only refer to "the system", because of gender mismatch with "power off". If our translators cannot grok the message, then we should probably reword it. Also, drop the "asked to" part. Everything we do is over IPC, so we only ever "ask" for things, and this adds no value.
* tree-wide: replace present participle formsZbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek2020-02-261-18/+18
| | | | Infinitive is shorter and sounds better too.

* po: drop duplicate "This file is distributed under..." linesZbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek2018-10-311-1/+0
| | | | | The header already says "LGPL-2.1+", so there is no need to repeat the same thing more ambiguously.
* po: drop copyright lines referencing COPYRIGHT HOLDERLennart Poettering2018-06-141-1/+0
| | | | | These lines are template lines that never got filled in. Let's drop them, as they carry zero information and are just useless.
* tree-wide: use proper unicode © instead of (C) where we canLennart Poettering2018-06-141-1/+1
| | | | | | Let's use a proper unicode copyright symbol where we can, it's prettier. This important patch is very important.
