* Correct SPL uses of EFI_HAVE_CAPSULE_SUPPORTSimon Glass2023-02-091-1/+1
| | | | | | | This converts 13 usages of this option to the non-SPL form, since there is no SPL_EFI_HAVE_CAPSULE_SUPPORT defined in Kconfig Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* global: Move remaining CONFIG_SYS_SDRAM_* to CFG_SYS_SDRAM_*Tom Rini2022-12-051-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | The rest of the unmigrated CONFIG symbols in the CONFIG_SYS_SDRAM namespace do not easily transition to Kconfig. In many cases they likely should come from the device tree instead. Move these out of CONFIG namespace and in to CFG namespace. * test: dm: Add test cases for FWU Metadata uclassSughosh Ganu2022-10-311-0/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add test cases for accessing the FWU Metadata on the sandbox platform. The sandbox platform also uses the metadata access driver for GPT partitioned block devices. The FWU feature will be tested on the sandbox64 variant with a raw capsule. Remove the FIT capsule testing from sandbox64 defconfig -- the FIT capsule test will be run on the sandbox_flattree variant. * addrmap: Support on sandboxSimon Glass2022-07-261-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | Update this feature so that it works on sandbox, using a basic identity mapping. This allows us to run the 'ut addrmap' test. Also fix up the test to use the correct macros to access the linker list, so that the 'ut addrmap' command actually works. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

* capsule: board: Add information needed for capsule updatesSughosh Ganu2022-04-151-0/+34
| | | | | | | | | | | Add a structure which defines the information that is needed for executing capsule updates on a platform. Some information in the structure like the dfu string is used for making the update process more robust while some information like the per platform image GUIDs is used for fixing issues. Initialise this structure in the board file, and use the information for the capsule updates. Signed-off-by: Sughosh Ganu <sughosh.ganu@linaro.org>

* pytest: add sandbox test for "extension" commandKory Maincent2021-05-131-0/+23
| | | | | | | | | | | | This commit extends the sandbox to implement a dummy extension_board_scan() function and enables the extension command in the sandbox configuration. * common: Drop asm/global_data.h from common headerWIP/2021-02-02-drop-asm_global_data-when-unusedSimon Glass2021-02-021-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. * dm: Rename U_BOOT_DEVICE() to U_BOOT_DRVINFO()Simon Glass2021-01-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The current macro is a misnomer since it does not declare a device directly. Instead, it declares driver_info record which U-Boot uses at runtime to create a device. The distinction seems somewhat minor most of the time, but is becomes quite confusing when we actually want to declare a device, with of-platdata. We are left trying to distinguish between a device which isn't actually device, and a device that is (perhaps an 'instance'?) It seems better to rename this macro to describe what it actually is. The macros is not widely used, since boards should use devicetree to declare devices. Rename it to U_BOOT_DRVINFO(), which indicates clearly that this is declaring a new driver_info record, not a device. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

* treewide: convert bd_t to struct bd_info by coccinelleMasahiro Yamada2020-07-171-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Linux coding style guide (Documentation/process/coding-style.rst) clearly says: It's a **mistake** to use typedef for structures and pointers. Besides, using typedef for structures is annoying when you try to make headers self-contained. Let's say you have the following function declaration in a header: void foo(bd_t *bd); This is not self-contained since bd_t is not defined. To tell the compiler what 'bd_t' is, you need to include <asm/u-boot.h> #include <asm/u-boot.h> void foo(bd_t *bd); Then, the include direcective pulls in more bloat needlessly. If you use 'struct bd_info' instead, it is enough to put a forward declaration as follows: struct bd_info; void foo(struct bd_info *bd); Right, typedef'ing bd_t is a mistake. I used coccinelle to generate this commit. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: <smpl> @@ typedef bd_t; @@ -bd_t +struct bd_info </smpl> Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org>
* drivers: rename drivers to match compatible stringWalter Lozano2020-07-091-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When using OF_PLATDATA, the bind process between devices and drivers is performed trying to match compatible string with driver names. However driver names are not strictly defined, and also there are different names used when declaring a driver with U_BOOT_DRIVER, the name of the symbol used in the linker list and the used in the struct driver_info. In order to make things a bit more clear, rename the drivers names. This will also help for further OF_PLATDATA improvements, such as checking for valid driver names. * SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini2018-05-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
