* Convert CONFIG_SYS_NS16550_MEM32 et al to KconfigTom Rini2022-12-051-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SPL_NS16550_MIN_FUNCTIONS CONFIG_SYS_NS16550_MEM32 CONFIG_SYS_NS16550_PORT_MAPPED CONFIG_SYS_NS16550_REG_SIZE CONFIG_SYS_NS16550_SERIAL To do this we also introduce CONFIG_SPL_SYS_NS16550_SERIAL so that platforms can enable the legacy driver here for SPL. * Rename CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE to CONFIG_TEXT_BASESimon Glass2022-10-311-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | The current name is inconsistent with SPL which uses CONFIG_SPL_TEXT_BASE and this makes it imposible to use CONFIG_VAL(). Rename it to resolve this problem. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

* Migrate CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to Kconfig using system-constants.hTom Rini2022-06-061-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Make all users of CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR reference SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR - Introduce HAS_CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to allow for setting the stack pointer directly, otherwise we use the common calculation. - On some platforms that were using the standard calculation but did not set CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE / CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_ADDR, set them. - On a small number of platforms that were not subtracting GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE do so now via the standard calculation. - CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_OFFSET is now widely unused, so remove it from most board config header files. * env: Finish migration of common ENV optionsTom Rini2019-11-201-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. * CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF: convert to KconfigTrevor Woerner2019-05-181-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF had been partially converted to Kconfig parameters; only for the ARC architecture. This patch turns these two parameters into Kconfig items everywhere else they are found. All of the include/configs/* and defconfig changes in this patch are for arm machines only. The Kconfig changes for arc, nds32, riscv, and xtensa have been included since these symbols are found in code under arch/{arc,nds32,riscv,xtensa}, however, no currently-defined include/configs/* or defconfigs for these architectures exist which include these symbols. These results have been confirmed with tools/moveconfig.py. * printk: collect printk stuff into <linux/printk.h> with loglevel supportMasahiro Yamada2017-10-041-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When we import code from Linux, with regular re-sync planned, we want to use printk() and pr_*(). U-Boot does not support them in a clean way. So, people end up with local macros, or compat headers here and there, then we occasionally see build errors of definition conflicts. We have include/linux/compat.h, but putting all sorts of unrelated things into a single header is just a temporal workaround. Hence this patch, to find the best home for all printk variants. If you want to use printk() and friends, please include <linux/printk.h>. This header is self-contained, and pulls in only a few headers. When I was testing this clean-up, I noticed the image size exceeded its platform limit on some boards. This is because all pr_*() that were previously defined as no-op in include/linux/mtd/mtd.h (unless CONFIG_MTD_DEBUG is set), are now enabled. To make such boards happy, this commit also implements CONFIG_LOGLEVEL. The concept is similar to the kernel parameter "loglevel". (Actually, the Kconfig help message was taken from kernel-paremeter.txt of Linux) Messages with a loglevel smaller than console loglevel will be printed. The difference is the loglevel is build-time determined. To save the image size, lower priority pr_*() are compiled out. I set the default of CONFIG_LOGLEVEL to 6, i.e. pr_notice and higher priority messages are compiled in. I adjusted CONFIG_LOGLEVEL to avoid build error for some boards.
